We got featured!

Sometimes when we are looking for help with our business or searching for articles to increase our knowledge of e-commerce or retail operations or even marketing and product design, etc, after starting a new business, we forget to talk to those who have done it and who are crushing it currently and who live right in our neighborhood! Our founder, Humaira Syed, recently got interviewed by Voyage Chicago on how she began Niswa Fashion, where it is today and what's next for the brand. Read below to see part of the Q and A and click the link to read the whole article:
Q: So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.

A: I started Niswa Fashion two years ago, at the age of 20, to sell modest wear to women in the Chicagoland area. I knew there was a strong demand for modest clothing, such as long-sleeved dress shirts and long-length dresses, because of how difficult it was, at the time, to find clothing that caters to women who want to dress modestly. We launched our company with just a small collection of about 10 pieces, and those sold out right away within my family and friends. After that, the word spread, and the demand for my collection grew immensely! Starting off with just 10 dresses, we eventually hit 50 dresses! What started off as a hobby, eventually grew into an entire business that caters to all women who are in search for modest wear. I gathered a dedicated team, we made a website, and our social media grew!

Q: We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
